The challanges draw us close to our goal and through overcoming them we make achievements.
Achievements.
- We have printed and distributed 6,500 hard copies of the treaty establishing the EAC to the youth groups, sports gala teams, associations and women groups. This culminates to increase awareness and relevance of integration among our people.
- Using our social media networks, Radio and Television talk shows have helped us to reach a hundred of thousands citizens in Central region of Uganda.
- Promoting and supporting the implementation of EAC, the Public have started appreciating our efforts and roles that if Africa is to realize her potential, we all need to be involved as citizens.
Challenges
- Limited funding to drive citizens mass campaign. This entails the resource envelope is constrained cannot be able do the activities to drive our agenda forward.
- Lack of translated Kiswahili version of the treaty and protocols has made it difficult to promote Kiswahili reading culture in our societies.
- The prolonged, unresolved both economic and political disputes among some partner states has demoralized and left people in doubt about the future of EAC. As CMC EAC Campaign, we have find it a big challenge to convince and reactivate their charisma.
- Lack of field vehicles to go hard reach areas to sensitize masses about the EAC in Uganda.
